Choice of the right kind of taps is an important factor to consider when
planning your new bathroom. They can add to the ambience and make the general theme of a bathroom
feel authentic - whether a modern, rustic or traditional bathroom style is chosen.
To match the many varying styles of sanitary-ware, there are thousands of
different taps to complement any bathroom scheme:
-
Contemporary; chunky, angular, curvy and sleek. Cross head, or single lever, go with
your instincts.
-
Traditional; ceramic inserts, brass & chrome fits well into an Edwardian or Art
Deco themed bathroom.
Choose taps to blend with the feel and ambience you want your new bathroom to
generate.
If you want to create a Victorian or Edwardian theme to your bathroom, then
period-styled (but new technology!) taps would be the best choice, especially if using existing
genuine period sanitary ware. However, if your new bathroom is to be modern, then mixer taps have
to be the preferred choice. They create a positive design statement, yet ar extremely practical. No
more adding a drop more hot or cold water to your bath before you can get into it! The mixer taps
will do it all for you, often with a single lever and themostat control.
